  • 3 tablespoons cold butter

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 stick of softened butter
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of apples (diced into small pieces)
  • 1 1/4 cups of flour
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, cold butter, white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt for the crumble topping until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt for the muffins.
  4. Blend milk, softened butter, sour cream, egg, and vanilla extract in a large bowl.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients while mixing gently.
  6. Fold in diced apples.
  7. Line muffin tins with liners and fill them almost to the top with batter.
  8. Sprinkle crumble topping over each muffin.
  9. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
