  • 4 cups French bread, cut into small ½ inch cubes
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup cream
  • 2 Tablespoons light brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • ¾ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 Tablespoons melted butter
  • 3 Tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apple filling by cooking chopped apples, brown sugar, lemon juice, spices, and cornstarch in a saucepan until softened; set aside.
  2. Soak French bread cubes in a mixture of eggs, milk, sugar, cream, vanilla, and spices for about 15 minutes.
