  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar for caramel sauce
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter for caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream for caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt for caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare brownie layer by melting butter and stirring in sugar. Add eggs and vanilla extract.
  2. In another bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt; fold into wet ingredients until just combined.
  3. Pour batter into a greased springform pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. Let cool completely.
  4. For the cheesecake layer, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth; add eggs, vanilla extract, and sour cream.
  5. Pour cheesecake mixture over cooled brownie layer and bake for another 30-35 minutes until set but jiggly in the center.
  6. For caramel sauce, melt sugar over medium heat until golden brown; add butter and cream while stirring continuously; mix in sea salt.
  7. Drizzle caramel over cooled cheesecake and refrigerate for at least two hours before serving.
