2 large Honeycrisp apples
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
4 tbsp apple pie spice
5 tbsp cinnamon (reserve 1 tbsp for topping)
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup light brown sugar
Olive oil nonstick spray
Instructions
Peel and slice the Honeycrisp apples into 1/2-inch wedges.
In a bowl, mix the flour, apple pie spice, and four tablespoons of cinnamon.
Place the apple wedges in the flour mixture, cover, and shake to coat evenly.
In another bowl, whisk together eggs and vanilla extract.
Dredge the coated apple wedges in the egg mixture, then return them to the flour for a double coating.
Preheat your air fryer and spray the basket with olive oil nonstick spray.
Arrange apple wedges in a single layer, spray tops with oil, and sprinkle with half of the reserved cinnamon-sugar mix. Air fry at 350°F for six minutes.
Flip the apple fries over, spray again with olive oil, sprinkle on remaining cinnamon-sugar mix, and cook for an additional six minutes.
