  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup croissant crumbs (about 23 croissants)
  • ½ cup sliced almonds
  • Optional: ¼ cup almond flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch square pan with parchment paper.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar until smooth; add eggs one at a time and then stir in vanilla.
  3. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just combined. Fold in croissant crumbs, sliced almonds, and almond flour if using.
  4. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool before slicing.
