  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Mix well.
  3. In another bowl, mix together flour, remaining granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Pour melted butter into a baking dish; add vanilla extract and milk to the flour mixture and stir until smooth.
  5. Pour batter over melted butter without mixing; layer peach mixture on top.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
