  • 1 Tbsp arrowroot powder (or cornstarch)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil (divided)
  • 12 oz green beans (trimmed)
  • 1/4 cup green onions (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 3 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 tsp grated ginger (or 1/4 tsp ground ginger)
  • 2 tsp arrowroot powder (or cornstarch)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss chicken with arrowroot powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Remove chicken from skillet and sauté green beans with remaining olive oil for about 6 minutes until tender-crisp.
  4. Whisk together chicken broth, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a small bowl. Mix arrowroot powder with water until smooth.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet, pour sauce over everything, and bring to a gentle boil. Simmer until thickened.
  6. Serve garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
