  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 3 cups apples (peeled and sliced)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in melted coconut oil until crumbly.
  2. Grease an 8×8 inch baking dish and press two-thirds of the mixture into the bottom. Set aside the remaining mixture.
  3. In another bowl, mix sliced apples with granulated sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice until coated; then evenly spread over the crust.
  4. Sprinkle the remaining crust mixture on top of the apples.
  5. Bake for about 40 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. Let cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
