Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • Powdered sugar for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt pan well.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  3. In another large bowl, beat together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Fold in the sour cream until just combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture into the wet ingredients, alternating and mixing until just combined.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and additional ground cinnamon for the swirl mixture.
  7. Pour half of your batter into the prepared bundt pan. Sprinkle half of your cinnamon swirl mixture on top. Pour in the remaining batter followed by another layer of cinnamon swirl.
  8. Bake your bundt cake in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow cooling in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack.
