  • 1 lb frozen vegan gyoza dumplings
  • 1 lb heirloom tomatoes
  • 1 English cucumber
  • 5 scallions
  • 1 red chili pepper (optional)
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 3 Tbsp Tamari (low sodium)
  • 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 23 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds (or crispy fried onions)
  • Garlic chili sauce
  • Thinly sliced cabbage (optional)
  • Carrot (optional)
  • Bean sprouts (optional)
  • Edamame (optional)

Instructions

  1. Steam the frozen gyoza dumplings according to package instructions. Once cooked, toss them in a bowl with sesame oil or water to prevent sticking.
  2. Whisk together tamari, balsamic vinegar, and maple syrup in a small bowl. Pour over warm dumplings and toss gently.
  3. Chop heirloom tomatoes, slice cucumber and scallions; add them to the dumpling bowl.
  4. Garnish with torn basil leaves and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
