- 1 lb frozen vegan gyoza dumplings
- 1 lb heirloom tomatoes
- 1 English cucumber
- 5 scallions
- 1 red chili pepper (optional)
- Fresh basil leaves
- 3 Tbsp Tamari (low sodium)
- 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 2–3 tsp maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds (or crispy fried onions)
- Garlic chili sauce
- Thinly sliced cabbage (optional)
- Carrot (optional)
- Bean sprouts (optional)
- Edamame (optional)
- Steam the frozen gyoza dumplings according to package instructions. Once cooked, toss them in a bowl with sesame oil or water to prevent sticking.
- Whisk together tamari, balsamic vinegar, and maple syrup in a small bowl. Pour over warm dumplings and toss gently.
- Chop heirloom tomatoes, slice cucumber and scallions; add them to the dumpling bowl.
- Garnish with torn basil leaves and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
