Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened for glaze
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened for glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar for glaze
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract for glaze
  • 2 tbsp milk for glaze (as needed for consistency)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Stir in warm milk, melted butter, and egg until a soft dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth. Let it rise in a warm place until doubled (about 1 hour).
  3. Prepare the filling by blending cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, chopped strawberries, and strawberry jam until smooth.
  4. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle. Spread the filling evenly over the dough.
  5. Sprinkle softened butter over the filling and top with cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  6. Roll up tightly into a log and slice into individual rolls (12 pieces). Let them rise again for about 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. For glaze: Mix softened cream cheese with butter, gradually adding powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth; adjust consistency with milk if needed.
  9. Drizzle glaze over warm rolls before serving.
